Tim inducted into Australian Dog World Hall Of Fame!

On Saturday night Bev Watt, Greg Browne and I were among many people who attended the Dog News Australia Top Dog Australia Final in Canberra. We were pleased to be present for the inaugural Induction of Dogs into the Australian Dog World Hall Of Fame and was honoured to have our English Setter Grand Ch. Tarquin Continuum inducted together with 3 other highly regarded show dogs who retired from the ring prior to 2004.

Tim retired at the end of 2003 in record breaking style, he was a remarkable dog and a great character who took the breed profile for English Setters in Australia to a higher level from the moment he started his show career. He won the dog challenge at the Melbourne Royal Show in 1998 at just 11 months of age and Best In Show at the English Setter Assoc. of Victoria Specialty the same year at 12 months of age, setting the scene to what was to become a record breaking show career which no other Australian English Setter had done before or since. His attitude, movement and grace on the move was spectacular to see. He loved to show and never once put in a less than enthusiastic performance in the ring.

Some of the highlights of his amazing show career was being:-

#1 ALL BREEDS in Australia 2003
PEDIGREE OZDOG AUSTRALASIAN SHOWDOG of the YEAR WINNER 2002
#1 ALL BREEDS in Australia 2002
#2 ALL BREEDS in Australia 2001
#1 Gundog (Sporting Dog) in Australia 2001 & 2002
#2 Gundog (Sporting Dog) in Australia 2000
#1 English Setter in Australia 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003
40 Best in Show

Runner Up Best In Show Adelaide Royal Show 2000 & 2001
Runner up Best in Group (Group 2nd) Perth Royal Show 2000, Hobart Royal Show 2000, & Sydney Royal Show 2001

Thank you Dog News Australia for such a night to remember and to those on the selection panel who recommended he be chosen for induction into the Australian Dog World Hall Of Fame.
